Homemade Ranch Dressing

I guess the title of this is a bit redundant since everything on here is homemade, but nonetheless this dressing is fantastic! Joe and I really enjoy having salads at dinner several times a week, and even more than that I enjoy trying different salad dressings. I like lots of different types of dressings, but I must say homemade ranch is my favorite. This recipe is pretty simple. I used dill instead of cilantro and it was excellent!

Homemade Ranch Dressing

2 small cloves garlic
½ tsp salt
½ Cup mayonnaise, or whole milk yogurt
1 Cup low fat or fat free buttermilk
Juice of one whole lemon
2 Tbsp finely chopped dill
2 Tbsp finely chopped scallions
½ tsp black pepper

Combine garlic and salt in a small bowl to form a paste. Stir in mayonnaise and buttermilk and whisk until smooth. Add in lemon juice, dill, scallions, and pepper and combine.
